Sources and verification
Before publication, check claims against attributable evidence. Prefer original interviews, official documents and primary sources. Link relevant originals so readers can understand their date and context. Repetition across websites does not make an unsupported claim verified.
Accuracy, privacy and uncertainty
Distinguish an actor from a character, an old statement from a current update, and a professional biography from a complete account of someone’s private life. Do not infer illness from appearance or absence, or marriage from a photograph. State uncertainty when the available evidence does not answer the question.
Review and attribution
Drafts should remain unpublished until reviewed. The reviewer should confirm sources, headline, category, image permissions and the public byline. Do not invent author credentials or present an automated draft as a verified personal account. Any AI-assisted material should receive the same editorial checks before publication.
Corrections and updates
When an error is established, correct it and explain a material change in the article. Keep dates attached to time-sensitive claims. Readers can identify a potential correction in an article’s comments where comments are enabled; include the relevant passage and a reliable source, without private personal information.
Images and third-party material
Use material only with appropriate permission, a suitable licence or an applicable rights basis. Keep required attribution. Illustrative generated imagery should not be presented as a photograph of a real event or as evidence of a personal claim.
Commercial relationships
If an article includes paid promotion, sponsorship or affiliate links, identify that relationship clearly in the relevant article. Editorial assertions must still be supported by evidence.
