Can Yaman has not been verified as married in the sources reviewed for this article. The clearest direct statement comes from a Sanremo press conference on February 24, 2026, when he described himself as single. That answers what he said on that date; it does not establish his private circumstances months later.
The Turkish actor has spoken publicly about parts of his life, and a past relationship with Italian presenter Diletta Leotta is documented. But a relationship, a proposal and a completed marriage are different events. None should be substituted for another when answering the question of whether he has a wife.
What Can Yaman said about being single
Rai News reported Yaman’s response to journalists asking whether he was romantically involved during the 2026 Sanremo coverage. He answered that he was single and joked about whether they had anyone to suggest. The exchange took place at a professional press event, where he was also discussing his television work.
This is stronger evidence than a caption on an undated photograph: the speaker, date and context are identifiable. It remains a February statement. Our October 20, 2026, review did not establish a later marriage announcement or a verified current spouse, so this article does not supply a wife’s name.
Diletta Leotta: a documented past relationship
Leotta discussed her relationship with Yaman on the Italian interview program Verissimo on September 25, 2021. In Mediaset’s account, she described a difficult period in which they were apart. She also said that a marriage proposal had come about a month after they met and reflected that events may have moved too quickly.
Those remarks support a historical account of a relationship and a proposal. They do not document a wedding. Calling Leotta his wife would therefore turn the evidence into a different claim. Her interview is also several years older than his Sanremo statement and should not be presented as a current relationship update.
From law school to television
Born in Istanbul on November 8, 1989, Yaman studied law before building an acting career. Turkish broadcaster NOW’s professional profile records his graduation from Yeditepe University’s law department in 2012 and acting classes in 2014 while he was working as a lawyer.
His early television credits include Gönül İşleri and İnadına Aşk. Later roles in Dolunay, Erkenci Kuş and Bay Yanlış place romantic comedy and drama at the center of his screen résumé. NOW also lists a 2018 Golden Butterfly award for romantic-comedy acting.
Sandokan and his Italian television career
Yaman plays the title character in the recent Italian adaptation of Sandokan, the adventure story created by Emilio Salgari. Rai’s production coverage identifies Alessandro Preziosi as Yanez, Alanah Bloor as Marianna and Ed Westwick as Lord Brooke. The production adds a period-adventure lead to Yaman’s earlier romantic roles.
RaiPlay’s June 9, 2026, coverage also records his recognition as an international lead performer for Sandokan at the Nastri d’Argento Grandi Serie awards. These appearances document his public work; an on-screen romance or a red-carpet pairing does not establish a real-life marriage.
